Come As You Are - Youth Education Support

CAYA is an education and support group open to LGBTQA+ youth, approximate ages 13 to 18.  CAYA meets every second Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Wellness Center at the Summit Pacific Medical Center campus in Elma, Washington.

The first hour is open to youth, their parents/guardians, and allies and features a new speaker on various topics important to LGBTQA+ youth and community members.  The second hour is for youth only and provides time and space for youth to engage in mentorship, bonding, discussions, games, and other activities.

There is no cost associated with CAYA and attendance is confidential.

Education, Support, Inclusion

CAYA is intended to fill the gap between school and community resources that have not traditionally provided educational information or support specifically for LGBTQA+ youth.  CAYA also provides out and questioning youth with a safe space to learn about LGBTQA+ topics and be themselves among peers.

Not everyone has the support of friends and family and may have fears and questions about being LGBTQA+.  CAYA is here to help provide that support and a place to have fun, share experiences, and develop friendships and connections with others like them.  CAYA is also partnered with several organizations and community resources that can provide additional services as needed.
